Under Section 211(b) of the Clean Air Act, manufacturers and importers must register their fuel and fuel additive products with the EPA before they are offered for sale.  The purpose of the 211(b) Research Group is to help companies fulfill the testing requirements needed for this EPA registration.  The 211(b) Research Group is managed by the American Petroleum Institute.
